If you’ve wondered why there’s been no work ‘from our desk’ recently, it’s because I’ve been beavering away in silence. Heads down … etc. Working that is, on half a dozen or so relatively larger projects from two New Zealand agencies. That is, site builds, using WordPress, and wrangling supplied documents ( designs, specified functionality ) into custom WordPress themes and functionality. I’m bound by Non-Disclosure agreements ( content is still being entered ), so can’t give any more details until the sites are launched ( soon, I hope ) . Watch this space…
I have some domains which I’m selling. Some of them are listed here. The site is a ( very much ) plainer version of the WordPress theme used for this site.
This site’s new skin is an original design based on the WordPress theme The Bootstrap.
That theme is responsive, catering to mobile, handheld, and desktop browsers. Its built-in functionality includes the carousel, and modal link from the quote button on the front page, and the accordion on the portfolio page. That page also uses the jQuery-based fancybox plugin. The theme is a WordPress version of the bootstrap framework, which uses the latest in web standards – HTML5, and CSS3.
Fibifitness, a startup offering competition and lifestyle training, has launched.
The site is powered by WordPress, to allow the owners to edit content, and the WooCommerce engine, allowing for onsite orders. It uses a highly customised version of the AutofocusPro theme to showcase post images, and features a front-page slider to highlight competitors trained by the company.

This site is for a Whangarei appliance servicing company, and is designed by Urban Legend web using the shell-lite WordPress theme as a base.
It is an information site which also allows visitors to send job requests via a jQuery-enabled form, and uses jQuery sliders to showcase both illustrative pictures of the company, and logos of the brands Electrotrade services.
It is coded in HTML5 using valid CSS, and offers both an original map showing Electrotrade’s coverage area, and a google map showing the company’s street location.
This site is for an independent contractor in Denver, Colorado, offering technical advice for small businesses’ online marketing campaigns, including managing email list, and project management software.
Urbanlegendweb was contracted to optimise the site for handheld devices, including iPhones and Androids using responsive design.
The Parrot place is an online pet shop, offering pet supplies, fish food, and specialising in supplies for birds.
It is WordPress-driven, and uses the E-commerce plugin for online sales.
Urban Legend web was contracted to create the collapsible menus on the left side of the site, and to make changes to the backend of the E-commerce plugin to clarify the display of categories. We also helped with some minor styling tweaks to the main menus.
