Davis Ogilvie

This WordPress-driven site is for a South Island, New Zealand engineering, surveying, and development company.

Urban Legend web was commissioned by Publica DDM to create the theme and functionality from supplied PSD files.

We used  Responsive v 1.9.3.5 as a parent theme. A series of new widgetable areas was created,  the Advanced Custom Fields plugin was used. Custom jQuery drives the front page scroller, and portfolio and people page mouseovers.

Urban Legend web update

This site’s new skin is an original design based on the WordPress theme The Bootstrap.

That theme is responsive, catering to mobile, handheld, and desktop browsers. Its built-in functionality includes the carousel, and modal link from the quote button on the front page, and the accordion on the portfolio page. That page also uses the jQuery-based fancybox plugin. The theme is a WordPress version of the bootstrap framework, which uses the latest in web standards – HTML5, and CSS3.

Sprikk Office for Architecture

This site is for an innovative, forward-looking Dutch architecture company.

It is powered by WordPress, based on the AutofocusPro theme, with extensive customisation, including to the layout of the site’s categories, the site’s header, and with additional sidebars implemented.

The site’s home page behaviour has also been modified to give roll-over effects which indicate the post’s categories, and the behaviour of a slideshow function for individual pages has been customised by Urban Legend web.

A customised plugin, qTranslate, has been used to offer Dutch and English versions of the site.

Yet more recent work

The Parrot PlaceThe Parrot place is an online pet shop, offering pet supplies, fish food, and specialising in supplies for birds.

It is WordPress-driven, and uses the E-commerce plugin for online sales.

Urban Legend web was contracted to create the collapsible menus on the left side of the site, and to make changes to the backend of the E-commerce plugin to clarify the display of categories. We also helped with some minor styling tweaks to the main menus.
